Express sign Gray

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Express announced today the team has signed Wichita, KS, native Taj Gray for the up-coming 2017-18 season. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
The 6’ 9” power forward joins the Express after playing most recently with the Mazatlan Nauticos of the CIBACOPA. Gray has also played professionally in France and Spain. “I’m really excited and I’m really anxious to get started,” said Gray. “I want to do my best to help the team win.”
Gray is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he started all 29 games in his senior year where he was named All Big-12 Second Team and Big-12 All Defensive Team in 2006. In 2006-07 and 2008-09, Gray played for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Summer League and later in 2009 signed a tryout contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. With Mazatlan, Gray started 6 games for the Nauticos, averaging 16.3 ppg while shooting 66.7% from 2-point range.
The Windsor Express training camp begins in November. “I’ve been working out, running, putting up shots, everything to make sure my body is right,” Gray said. “I’m physically and mentally prepared to start training camp.”
